Evaluation

Required for all new clients prior to any continued training plans.

After submitting the new client registration, all clients must schedule and complete an initial evaluation before beginning any offered training plans. In-person evaluations are critical in deciding the training plan that is right for you, your dog, and any goals or expectations you may have for this experience. Our first hour together is filled with first impressions. You and your dog will learn all there is to know about me and my training style while I evaluate their current skills, your relationship together as a team, and the best way to proceed. At the close of the evaluation a training plan will be recommended and discussed, encompassing both your initial training desires and my findings upon evaluation to set you and your companion up for long term success!

  • By filling out a new client registration form you will be providing me with critical information to reference throughout our training together. By including your dog’s unique trails, behaviors, background, and training goals, I can prepare best for our evaluation lesson together.

Private Lessons & Packages

Private lessons are designed to teach YOU how to be the best trainer you can for your companion.

Dog training takes time, patience, and consistency. During private lessons we will discuss your burning questions, how to achieve training expectations and desires, as well as how to begin ceasing behavioral problems. Exercises and plans to continue training while I am not present will be assigned, so be prepared for homework! It will be your job to continue training when I leave in order to continually progress with your companion.

Private lessons are offered both in-home and elsewhere dependent on the skills being addressed.

Private Lesson

  • Single private lessons are the perfect opportunity for established clients to discuss new behaviors, develop future training plans, tune-up handling skills, practice with guidance, and ask any burning questions. Location is customized to target the skills you seek to work with guidance.

Single Session - 60 minutes

Tutoring

  • Tutoring lessons are designed for dogs who may be more reserved with new people, hesitant to work while their owners are present, or anyone looking to give their dog some individual student-teacher practice! For dogs who tend to cling to their owners, some time away to build confidence and a new relationship can be an incredible motivator! Dogs who hide true talents in the shadow of their owners' shelter can thrive as I let them set the pace and display their true personality with the bravery boost of new experiences. Even owners and dogs who do very well in private lessons yet lack the same outcomes during practice can benefit from tutoring by sending their dog for a one-on-one lesson with their trainer. No matter the circumstance, you can be sure that your dog will be well taken care of, treated with care, and set up for success throughout our individual lesson together.

Private Packages

  • Private lesson packages allow routine check-ins for at home training. We will discuss long-term goals and continue building on previous knowledge each week as you practice individually at home in between lessons.

    During our time together we will target basic obedience skills, socialization, and behavioral concerns.

Board & Train

The hard truth about dog training is that it takes incredible amounts of time, patience, experience, and consistency. It takes humans and animals alike 3-4 weeks to develop long term habits, and when life gets in the way this can be a difficult regimen to follow and receive the results you desire. While completing a board and train program, your dog will come live with me full time during the duration of their training for a round the clock immersive behavior modification experience.

In order to qualify for a Board & Train you must either already be an established client or first schedule an initial “Evaluation” lesson to discuss the best training plan for you and your dog. Based on both your desires and your dog’s individual needs, board and train plans are built on a case by case basis, ensuring you and your companion get the most out of this experience. After both an Evaluation has been completed and Board & Train plan established, your dog will be assigned a drop off date and time to begin their (#) week Board & Train stay!

Along with typical obedience skills, behaviors that can be targeted during a Board & Train stay include;

  • Leash Communication, from loose leash walks to controlled greetings downtown, your companion will learn that the leash is so much more than just a tether to keep them from running off.

  • Recall, your dog will learn how to recall back to you from extended distances and away from distractions in a plethora of environments

  • Exposure & Confidence Building, we cannot expect animals to perform tasks or act “appropriately” in environments or situations they have little experience in. Socialization is a word routinely thrown around in the dog industry yet few delve into its true meaning. Throughout their program, your dog will have in-depth experiences in the real world to prepare them for the interactions adventures you wish to pursue together.

  • Impulse & Boundary Control, dogs are impulsive creatures, lunging on leash toward critters, bursting through doorways, stealing food, jumping, barking, and so much more. Your companion will learn the power of permission and how to seek approval for desires and respect clear boundaries.

  • Composure, ever wanted to bring your dog to lunch with friends and have them lay politely under the table? Getting a dog to relax in highly stimulating environments is no easy task. Whether in public or just typical home chaos, your dog will learn how to keep their cool even when others aren’t.

    • Place, your dog will learn how to locate, board, and remain on a bed or place cot for any desired amount of time among a plethora of distractions.

    • Crate, your dog will learn how to locate, enter, and remain composed in their kennel until released

    • Stay, rely on your dog’s ability to remain in place when asked in a range of environments both inside and out

  • Resource Guarding

  • Boundary Aggression (leash, car, fence, etc.)

  • Transportation Manners (pacing, whining, barking in the car, etc.)

Every Board & Train program includes a select number of private lessons that are scheduled and completed promptly after program completion to set you and your companion up for long term success!

**I always value quality over quantity with training, the most important skills and behaviors are always the first to be targeted. We mustn’t let our expectations get the best of us, forcing our pets into positive experiences, negatively. You can be assured that your companion will be taught and introduced to new experiences with patience and care throughout the entirety of their stay.

Training tool and equipment upgrades are not included in the cost of Board & Train packages but may be recommended depending on necessity.

3 Weeks - $2000 +tax

The three week program consists of the perfect mix of basic skill work and experiences tailored to both you and your companion.

Includes:

  • 21 days of boarding

  • weekly report cards

  • 2+ hours of one-on-one training per day

  • individualized play

  • socialization

  • outings & adventures

  • weekly grooming

  • 3 private lessons with owner

4 Weeks - $2500 +tax

The four week program is designed to be more in depth for dogs already presenting behavior problems such as reactivity, fear, aggression, flight risks, and/or lack of socialization.

Includes:

  • 28 days of boarding

  • weekly report cards

  • 2+ hours of on-on-one training per day

  • individualized play

  • socialization

  • outings & adventures

  • weekly grooming

  • 4 private lessons with owner

*In order to give each dog what they need to succeed this service has limited space.*

Submit your Board & Train application promptly in order to begin training in a timely manner. If an immediate space is unavailable, you will be contacted with the soonest possible start date and asked to submit a 25% deposit in order to hold your companion’s spot.

In-Home Boarding

Unlike facilities and pet sitters who offer overnight and day boarding services to a surplus of dogs at one time, I choose to limit space in exchange for a better experience. This allows me to not only give your dog everything they would normally have at home, but more! Along with their typical day-to-day activities and staying in a true home environment, I offer my own home to your dog to engage in daily play and training tailored to their individual needs, as well as ability to tag along for pack adventures throughout their stay!

Special instructions? Medications? Behavior issues? With Wagging with Wisdom boarding, you can always be confident your dog will be in safe, experienced, and capable hands.

Dogs must be potty trained and crate trained. No exceptions.
