Dogs have always been a significant part of my life since the day I was born but when my family choose to begin fostering rescue dogs in 2009, my life’s purpose was truly set in stone. To this day, I continue to foster animals in my own home, have spent 1.5 years as a veterinary technician, shadowed renowned canine trainers & behaviorists, experienced training dogs for both corporate & small businesses, and have received several dog training certifications through the American Kennel Club (AKC).Through all of these experiences, I continue to come to the same conclusion. Dog training has a long list of significant benefits outside of party tricks and getting dogs to “do what they are told”. I seek to expand that understanding to as many owners as possible throughout my career. It is very easy to forget that canines, although “humans best friend”, are still individuals with their own needs. As a whole, breed, past experiences, upbringing, maturity, previous training methods, alterations, and genetics all play key parts in the companion you have today.Human education on mental & physical stimulation, dog body language, effective communication, and navigating instinctual behaviors are all main topics in strengthening any companion relationship, from basic training and sports to difficult behavior concerns.Dogs are inquisitive beings, always learning something whether we want them to or not. Dogs are a problem solving species with a long history history of unconditional devotion transforming many of them from typical companions to first responders, veterans, and so much more. It is our duty as dog owners to provide the confident leadership they yearn for while teaching them to navigate our fast paced and often unpredictable world. My lifetime career goal as a dog trainer and animal advocate lies in helping owners discover the true abilities of themselves and their dogs, while doing everything in my power to curb our countries alarmingly high rate of irresponsibly rehomed pets through education on canine behavior and responsible pet ownership.

Starting animal rescue at such an early age it was easy to get attached. I felt connected to every single dog that we rescued, transported, rehomed, fostered, and assisted. I felt their souls thanking us every step of the way and the wave of relief in them and their new family on adoption days. A sense of belonging.
Dogs as a whole are my sense of belonging. The connections they offer are unmatched, even when having experienced unimaginable traumas they seek our companionship. To this day I still get attached, every dog I rescue, train, or assist takes a little piece of my heart with them, their face and story burned into my soul.
Anytime I have rattled the thought of if I was in the right career, the dogs themselves rope me right back in. I don’t think I ever had a choice, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Val came to me as an owner surrender , at around 7-8 months old. From day one I noticed two things, she was driven and an incredible problem solver. Both traits have their pros and cons but I was prepared to indulge in it all.
Valkyrie was excessively reactive when we first began our training journey, lunging and vocalizing at any people or dogs in sight. After being raised in a home where she was able to run a fence line harassing neighbors, left consistently unsupervised, and given little to no-one-on one attention, she was desperate. I quickly made the decision to keep Val after only a few days of working together and experiencing her true potential first-hand.
Her DNA results revealed several working breeds, majority being Boxer and Australian cattle dog, proving reason for her bully and herding tendencies in behavior as well as natural intelligence.
Valkyrie never says no to a training session, has gone on to explore a multitude of sports and adventures, and is currently in active training to be a demo dog. You may often find her tagging along for the ride with me to and from lessons.

Wanda was apart of a little of 9 ACD mix puppies whose mother was found very pregnant as a stray in the Rio Grande Valley. Just days after her rescue, the puppies arrived. My mom and I received them as soon as possible on a long transport from Texas to NE.
Since birth, I had my eye on little Wanda, originally named “Parsley” of the Spice Litter her unique features certainly caught my eye but upon meeting and fostering her, her personality was all I had hoped for and more.
Wanda yet still young, has proven she will do great things in her future, already having begun her training journey with aspirations of becoming a certified Emotional Support Animal as well as excelling in obedience competitions and sporting events.
You are most likely to meet Wanda during social evaluations as she is my go-to companion for testing all kinds of new client companions no matter the presenting issues at hand. Wanda has used her keen social skills to successfully assist dozens of dogs who were originally thought to be incapable of socializing, learn to communicate positively and respectfully.

The newest additions to the Boulder House crew are felines! In the summer of 2025, I was called on a rescue mission in my hometown after a community post about newborn kittens abandoned on a backroad has circulated locally.
After a few long and hot summer weeks, we had successfully trapped four kittens and their momma.

After a few long and hot summer weeks, we had successfully trapped four kittens and their momma. Their mom was spayed to prevent future litter and then re-released back to the original trapping location.
Two of their siblings were relocated to another foster home once physically able, but it was not long before they had weaseled their way into our hearts and family.
Both Jarvis and Rocky have been raised to be incredibly social with dogs. Aside from typical cat testing and distraction usage, they are always somewhere nearby.
You may even find them lurking in the back of school photos as they never turn down the opportunity to earn a snack, just like everyone else!

Estimated 3yo - Bully mix
After being surrendered due to domestic violence in his previous home in NC, Hurricane Helene left his shelter beyond capacity and in turn knocked Ranger’s likeness of adoption, down to zero.
This sweet boy was need of a fresh start. After his previous life experiences, new people and dogs were incredibly overwhelming for him which made it incredibly difficult to expose him to available homes and find the forever home he always deserved.
Our journey has not been rainbows and butterflies, but thats why he is with me. We have been solely focused on rekindling his ability to open his social circle not only for adoption, but simply a more enjoyable life.
The truth is… he is one of the most unconditional loving dogs you can imagine and once you are part of the Ranger club, you are a part of it for life.
