Meet my Pack

  • Valkyrie

    CGC Certified

    2 yo - Boxer/ACD mix

Val came to me as an owner surrender , at around 7-8 months old. From day one I noticed two things, she was driven and an incredible problem solver. Both traits have their pros and cons which I was prepared to indulge in. Valkyrie was excessively reactive when we first began our training journey, lunging and vocalizing at any people or dogs in sight. After being raised in a home where she was able to run a fence line harassing neighbors, left consistently unsupervised, and given little to no-one-on one attention, she was desperate. I quickly made the decision to keep Val after only a few days of working together. Her DNA results revealed several working breeds, majority being Boxer and Australian cattle dog, proving reason for her bully and herding tendencies in behavior as well as intelligence. Valkyrie never says no to a training session, has gone on to explore a multitude of sports and adventures, and is currently in active training to be a demo dog. You may often find her tagging along for the ride with Sage.

  • Wanda

    1.5y - ACD mix

    DOB: Feb. 25, 2023

Wanda was apart of a little of 9 ACD mix puppies whose mother was found very pregnant as a stray in the Rio Grande Valley. Just days after her rescue, the puppies arrived. My mom and I received them as soon as possible on a long transport from Texas to NE.

Since birth, I had my eye on little Wanda, originally named “Parsley” of the Spice Litter her unique features certainly caught my eye but upon meeting and fostering her, her personality was all I had hoped for and more.

Wanda yet still young, has proven she will do great things in her future, already having begun her training journey with aspirations of future jobs, competition, and sports.

  • Niko - RIP

    10 yo - Boxer/Mastiff mix

Niko crossed the rainbow bridge on September 30th, 2024

Niko is my boyfriend’s dog, yet I have known him since before even that. He originally lived with one of Zach’s parents and when they were looking to make a cross country move at the same time as us we offered to take him in. Niko grew up with his blood sister “Nala” and two small dogs. He is 99% sweet, with kids, people, cats, small animals, and most other dogs. After growing up with a blood sibling where the mentality was to let them “duke it out” we noticed some interesting behavioral challenges with him once they were seperated. We have worked through and continue to work on both resource guarding and reactivity with Niko. His moments are few and far in between and everyone that meets him simply melts into his paw. If it were up to him he would spend every second curled up in a blanket on the couch.

Meet my current foster dog,

“Artichoke”

  • Artichoke’s story began under the name “Cujo,” but don’t let that fool you—he’s as sweet as they come. After being abandoned during a traumatic home eviction, Artichoke found himself fearful of people in uniform and struggling in a shelter environment. His future seemed bleak when his euthanasia date was set for June 27, 2024.

But our team saw the loving dog beneath the fear. On that very day, Artichoke’s life changed forever when he was rescued and taken into foster care. Since then, he has made incredible progress—enjoying vet visits, public outings, working on obedience, and even making new human and dog friends. At 6-7 years old, with a playful spirit and impressive fetching skills, Artichoke is ready for a forever home.

This gentle giant weighs around 90 pounds (with a goal of 100!) and would thrive in a home with space to accommodate his goofy, loving nature. He’s ready to be someone’s heart and soul, and in return, he’ll shower his new family with endless loyalty and affection.

Are you ready to give Artichoke the loving home he deserves?
