Although every homeless dog deserves care and a loving home, unfortunately even many rescues tend to overlook the animals in true need. Dogs in need of expensive veterinary care, special conditions, and medications, tend to be left behind due to their extensive financial and care needs despite their ability to live like any other pet once rehabilitated.

We seek to help as many animals in dire need of rescue and medical attention as we can at any given time.

No animal should be left behind or considered "too far gone"

Our goal as an animal rescue is to stop the cycle of traditionally undesired, dumped, abused, and mistreated dogs. The only ethical way to do so is to ensure these dogs cannot procreate by spaying and neutering every single one of the animals in our care before official adoption.

We are incredibly thorough about our applications when it comes to commitment and connection. We do not ever judge based on size of home, fenced in yards, or lifestyles rather if the dog you are in pursuit of matches with your family's dynamic. A dog who truly connects with a family and home is there to stay forever.

In over a year and a half of adoptions, Chasing Sunshine Dog Rescue has NEVER had an adopted dog returned due to this match making process.
